Our team was asked to become run course marshalls for the Police Pace, an event that helps raise money for the families of fallen heros in the county. The event ran very well. There was one incident of a participant falling on the course. Unit 687, who witnessed the fall, contacted Net Control and made them aware of the participant who got up and continued to the finish line. Net Control, being run by unit 614 kept an eye out for the participant for about 5 minutes when he spotted him on the ground near the finish line. 614 contacted the on scene paramedics who took the participant to Howard County General Hospital.
614 later made contact with the paramadics who took the participant to the hospital. It was found he was suffering from dehydration and that he was in excellent condition later the night.
